James E. Franz

Consultant Overview

James E. Franz is the chief operating officer of our firm. He started his career as an auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1986. After spending time as a medical practice administrator for a large medical practice in Upstate New York, he went to work for M&T Bank as a branch manager and small business lender. In 1996, Jamie was hired by Citibank Consumer Bank to run its Small Business Lending Division in Upstate New York. After two successful years, he was asked to run the entire Upstate Consumer Business.  Jamie finished his career with Citigroup working for its Private Bank, headquartered in New York City.

In 2000, Jamie started his own company, Financial Solutions L.L.C., which finances distressed middle market companies throughout the northeast. In 2001, he partnered with Timothy McMullen at Commercial Insurance Consultants, Inc. to establish the company’s Lender Insurance Review Services Division (LIRS).  LIRS provides insurance due diligence services to the commercial lending industry focusing, on the protection of the lenders' interests under their borrowers’ insurance programs.

Jamie lectures at professional seminars throughout the country regarding areas of insurance concerns for commercial lenders.
